What Time Is It?
This kid makes me laugh. I could have a conversation with him all day, and it would never be about the same thing. He's learning time and what time he does things, like circle time, play, nap, etc. On the way home yesterday he says, "mom what time is it?" Me, " it's 4:30." Hunter, "no what time is it?" Me, "it's 4:30 Hunter." He says " no mom what time is it, like after Mardi Gras, what time is it next?" I laughed the whole way home! Apparently in New Orleans we have "time" all year long. So I told him Easter and then I corrected myself to St. Patrick's day. After all, there is a parade for it and a coordinating outfit. So it MUST be a "time." At our house, we keep track of time by the wreath on the front door. Oh how I wish that was the only clock I had to watch. Until next time.....<3

Monster Jam!!
So this was my first Monster Jam as well as Hunter's.....Cate - you still have a few more years sweetie. It sure was fun! We bought Pit Passes and got there promptly at 2. The line was around the Dome but it didn't take too long to get in. We got our program for the drivers to sign and made our way around.
Once Hunter found the school bus truck in the program, that was it. We HAD to see the school bus, which wasn't there. Um, for a 3 year old, this consists of a meltdown and crisis mode for mom. The only school bus was the one in the pile of mud for the trucks to jump over and/or crush. So he had to settle for that one. :) I'm not sure if Hunter had a favorite but my favorite was El Toro Loco, mainly because it was a woman driving! I asked Andy how he'd like to be married to her lol! Pretty sure she can out-drive you honey. It was nice to see Grave Digger "in the flesh", being that we are both the same age. He is celebrating 30 years this year. Makes me feel a bit old, but at least I don't remember Bigfoot like Andy :)
The races were entertaining, especially when someone flipped over. Hunter was also into the big machinery that's used to flip the trucks back over or pull them in. They can keep the intermission though. The fumes from the old cars were awful and the big dinosaur (or whatever it is) wasn't all that great. By the time the show started up again, Hunter was tired and we ended up leaving early.
We still enjoyed our family night out and I know we will do it again!

This guy, not friendly. I guess that's what happens when you drive a Cadillac in a monster truck show lol
Mommy's favorites - Hunter and El Toro Loco (she won her first race)
